Families of Sex Addicts
S-Anon and S-Ateen Family Help
S-Anon is to sex addicts what Al-Anon is to alcoholics.
S-Anon Family Groups
This is how S-Anon describes itself:
S-Anon is a program of recovery for those who have been affected by someone else's sexual behavior. S-Anon is based on the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
The primary purpose of S-Anon is to recover from the effects upon us of another person’s sexaholism, and to help families and friends of sexaholics.
S-ATEEN Family Groups - For the Teenager
S-Ateen is a Twelve Step program for teenagers who have been affected by the sexual behavior of a relative or friend. The meetings follow S-Anon's Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. S-Ateen meetings are conducted separately from those of S-Anon, and are guided by adult S-Anon sponsors.
S-Anon Meetings
If you are unable to find a S-Anon meeting in your area here are some suggestions:
- Check out S-Anon Phone & Virtual meetings
- You may like to contact people at a local Sex-Addicts Anonymous meeting to see if they can help
- Some Al-Anon groups are also willing to help.
